I Saw Two Preachers

One fall evening I stood outside the WV Culture Center with one of my 5 ft. tall signs of a pre-born child. The man who told me about the event, that we were picketing, stood to my right with the other one of my signs. Both signs are of living (in the womb) children. We also held (or had leaned against the big sign) small (18 X 24 in) "Abortion Kills Children" signs.

One of the most evil people ever to breath (Gloria Steinem who founded Choice USA which targets young people with its evil agenda) was speaking to one of West Virginia's most evil groups-pro-baby killing "West Virginia Free."

The guy who held my other sign is Catholic. He spent most of his time praying. Occasionally he would say "Think about it." to the jaunty crowd passing by to the $25 per ticket pre-Halloween gathering.

To my left was another Catholic man holding a small "Life: The First Inalienable Right" sign. He prayed the Rosary the whole time.

Across from us stood three young people (high school and college) and a local pro-life middle aged lady--all Protestants. They held the usual Right to Life small sings (Jesus Heals and Forgives. Pray to Stop Abortion, Abortion Harms Women, and one held another sign I don't recall. It may have been the same as my small ones.)

All three local television stations walked on by us showing no interest. No print reporters stopped although an article appeared in the paper the next morning. I doubt they would have ignored us had the baby-killers had to pass by a hundred Christians lining the walk-ways.

After the crowd had entered the building, the adults stayed to chat and someone mentioned that we should pray for "them" (the levobortomites*). I said that I pray the way David did in the Psalms regarding evil people-that God will pour his righteous judgment upon them. (Important clarifications: 1. I don't believe we can pray anybody into salvation. Each individual must respond to the Holy Spirit's conviction. I will pray with and help any baby-killer who expresses regret and seeks guidance. Most-if not all-the people tonight fit those described in Romans 1:22-28. I pray, for the few misguided ones, that God will delay His judgment. 2. I believe abortionists are guilty of capital crimes, but they should be prosecuted in a court of law and their sentences carried out by state authorites not vigilantes. However, it is amazing that a man would be a hero for stopping someone from harming a newly born baby, but executed for stopping the killing of a baby a few hours away from being born.)

I expressed to my fellow pro-lifers that night that signs can tell the truth in 1-3 words (“Abortion Kills Children”), but a picture literally speaks 1000 words. (I would like to see more of this kind of 1000 word signs on display.) Steinem is often quoted as saying, "The truth will set you free, but first it will p--- you off." That (though not a lady-like way to say it) is TRUE.

There were three Capitol Police (not rent-a-cops) officers assigned to stand nearby. In my opinion, we pro-lifers would have been in danger had the officers not been present. ALL of them came up to us as we left (two were Catholics and one did not say) to tell us, (I quote) "God bless you and/or I agree with you."

Now, to the matter of the subject line of this email.

Where were the preachers? I saw only two. Both were with the baby-killing crowd.

One wore a clerical collar and black shirt with cross dangling from a chain around HER neck.

The problem with America is the pulpit!

*levobortomite (lev oh bor' tow mite) noun. Anyone who believes and/or promotes left wing extremism, evolutionism, abortion, and/or anti-family activities such as sodomite marriage. These people are not limited to any particular political party.

A handful of pro-life folks greeted the trick or trick group with signs that showed the truth about baby slaughter. Steinem said, “The truth will set you free, but first it will p--- you off.” A lot of the goblins who went to her speech are now official p---ed off.
