ROMANS RESOUNDING RESOURCES

Posted by Karl C. Priest January 18, 2018 (revised 2-13-22)

My top three books of the Bible are Genesis, John, and Romans. This page is about Romans.

Here is my version of the famous “Romans Road”.

Foundation

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth… Romans 1:16

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made even his eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20

for: as being

The Romans Road

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

glory: exalted honor

But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

but: opposite of expectation commendeth: represent as worthy yet: up to now

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

(9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:9-11

that
: used to introduce a fact shalt: definitely will confess: acknowledge (admit as true) and: together with believe: to take as true (real: not imaginary) heart: the center of the total personality and character
unto: to (movement toward) righteousness: guiltless; blameless
whosoever: whoever (any person) on: supported by; attached to

Finish

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live therefore or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8

Now the Lord of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13

now
: immediately hope: the feeling that what is wanted can be had all : the total amount
joy: delight; pleasure peace: inner contentment (satisfied—not desiring more)
abound: to be filled with a large amount
through: by the way of power: capacity to direct or influence behavior

Some memory verses from GENESIS:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26

Some memory verses from JOHN:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
