LETTER TO THE CHARLESTON GAZETTE-MAIL (12-27. Will update if it is printed.*)

Editor:

This letter began as a criticism of liberalism.  There is much to criticize.  For example, most liberals religiously claim to be pro-science while fanatically enforcing the anti-science of evolutionism, preborn baby non-humanity, and gender absurdities.

Liberal politics are destroying America.  However, the ultimate blame for America’s woes lies in the pulpits and pews of churches.  Liberals won’t send their children to an conservative Christian Sunday School one hour per week, but Christians send their children to the liberal controlled public schools for more than thirty hours per week!

I cannot say it any better than this liberal:  "I am convinced that the battle for humankind’s future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers who correctly perceive their role as the proselytizers of a new faith…” (John J. Dunphy. “A Religion for a New Age.” The Humanist. January-February, 1983)

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.  (Matthew 18:6)

Conservatives and Christians need to rescue their children.

Karl Priest, of Poca, is the WV state coordinator for Exodus Mandate.org

*Upon a friend's suggestion, I sent my letter to some other newspapers.  I got a Google Alert that it was published in the January 1 Huntington Herald Dispatch.  I am not sure if it was in the print edition. They left out my ID as the Exodus Mandate representative.

LETTER TO THE PUTNAM REVIEW SUPPLMEMT

After a newspaper (https://www.wvgazettemail.com/putnamreview/) report bragging about Putnam County Schools test scores was printed, I sent the following letter. The letter was published in the 11-7-18 print edition, but I could not locate it the paper’s website.

Editor:

The October 24 article about Putnam County schools performance ratings is meaningless.

What does "100 percent of the middle and high school students are on target for math" mean?  What is the target?  If it is low, the report becomes propaganda and misleading to tax payers.

The school system should report student performance on the Nation's Report Card" (National Assessment of Educational Progress).  Also, the system should report student percentage scores on the state tests.

WHAT THE “CONSERVATIVE” CRITICS SAY

By Karl Priest (revised 1-21-2018)

In October 2014 I started recording below some of the comments I received in response to comments I posted on conservative and Christian website articles. These are listed with only minor (mostly spacing) edits. I make no attempt to classify each critic as a consistent conservative or a liberal lurker.

I posted:
